Most of us have been there before: we have a garage, home addition. guest house or office that either isn’t big enough for a full sized split heating and air system, or isn’t attached to the main ducting. So we pick up a noisy window or floor unit, and blast away all peace and quiet just to stay comfortable. Guess what? Those days are over.

Ductless Heating and Air Conditioning

Ductless heating and air conditioning systems are also known as mini-splits. Why? Because like their big brothers, an air conditioner or heat pump is located outside the living space, and an air handler and indoor coil is located inside. The difference in a ductless system is that the system is scaled down to condition smaller areas, and the indoor air handler works independent of ducting.

The indoor air handler can be mounted on the wall (see the photo of one of our recent installations), ceiling recessed or mounted on the floor.

Quiet and Efficient Comfort

Are they quiet? You bet. Plus, they are very efficient with SEER ratings up to 33+ SEER!

Conditioning Multiple Rooms

Ductless “twinning” is allows multiple indoor air handlers to be powered by a single outdoor unit. Each indoor air handler offers individualized control over a particular living space. This not only also for better comfort, but lower utility bills.

What About Winter?

Ductless systems can also keep you warm with a ductless heat pump solution. Some manufacturers like Fujitsu offer technology in their ductless heat pumps that allow them to heat even down to negative 15 below zero!
